Take Charge of your Breast Health

Noosa Radiology Free Public Breast Health Information Session

Noosa Radiology will host a free public information session on breast health on Wednesday, 21 October at 5:30pm, bringing together three of the region’s leading breast specialists to help local women better understand breast cancer risk, screening and care.

The session will feature Dr Lisa Hammerton, a Breast Physician with a background in breast health and preventative care, Dr Drew McMenamin, one of the Queensland’s most experienced subspecialist trained Radiologists in Breast Imaging and Dr Felicity Adams, a breast surgeon with extensive experience in the diagnosis, treatment and surgical management of breast cancer.

Together, the three specialists will speak on a range of topics relevant to women of all ages, including individual breast cancer risk factors, the role of personalised risk and breast density in screening, the different types imaging available, and the latest approaches to breast cancer treatment.

The event reflects Noosa Radiology’s ongoing commitment to accessible, personalised breast care in the community — including its recently launched Same Day Breast Imaging, Consultation and Biopsy service, which allows patients to receive imaging, specialist consultation and, if required, biopsy in a single visit.

Organisers say the session is designed to empower women with clear, practical information so they can make informed decisions about their own breast health, regardless of age or family history.

The information session will be held at Noosa Radiology on Wednesday, 21 October at 5:30pm, and is free to attend. Places are limited, with attendees asked to register by scanning the QR code included in event promotional materials.
